The politics of both medical cannabis and adult use are heating up in California. Next week, voters will decide whether to allow for recreational marijuana use with Prop 64. And in the coming days, the LA City Council has its last opportunity to endorse a local ballot measure to decide how to create licenses in the city. Who does and doesn't have a local license determines how the state will look at cannabis businesses going forward. And its only the state's entire industry and billions of dollars at stake.
